Obituary for Frances A Simoncic
Funeral Mass for Frances A. (nee Fierle) Simoncic, 75, of Willowick, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023, at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 32114 Vine St., Willowick.
Frances passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2023, at her residence.
Born March 5, 1947, in Cleveland, she moved as a child to Lake County where she was a resident for over 60 years.
Frances was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Parish. She volunteered in the school library for many years. Frances had many interests including the arts (theater and photography), hiking, traveling, had been to many national parks, and referred to herself as an amateur historian.
Frances was the loving mother of Jennie A. (Simon) Daher, Joseph J. Simoncic Jr., and Jacqueline M. (Devin) Hart; cherished grandmother of Madeline Daher, Rachel Daher and Gavin Hart; dear sister of Frank A. (Margie) Fierle and Mark (Connie) Fierle; and aunt of Susan Fierle, Louis Belle, Eddie Belle, Frank (Laynee) Fierle and Brenda Fierle,
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Joseph J. Simoncic in 2020; and parents, Frank and Jennie (nee Markun) Fierle.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will follow the Mass at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
