Funeral Mass for Elizabeth C. (nee Vontorcik) Susan, 95, of Madison, will be 9:30 a.m. Monday, at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor. Fr. Alex Clark will officiate.
Elizabeth passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023, at Lantern of Madison.
Born June 29, 1927, in Cleveland, she had been a resident of Lake County for 23 years. She had been are resident at Lantern of Madison for 12 years, where she was affectionately known as “Gramma” by all of the staff.
She was a member of St. John Vianney Church in Mentor, loved her family and grandchildren dearly, and enjoyed her gambling trips.
Elizabeth was the loving mother of Kathleen F. Boehnlein (Rick Taylor), Frank S. Susan (Dee Denman), Steven M. Susan, Joseph A. (Kim) Susan, Linda A. Susan, Debbie A. (Ralph) Kitson, Christopher K. Susan (Ellen Smith-Susan) and Carol A. (Joel) Jernejcic; cherished grandmother of 10; great-grandmother of seven; sister-in-law of Mary Pat Vontorcik; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank J. Susan in 1981; daughter, Elizabeth A. Susan; parents, Stephen and Johanna (nee Kovalik) Vontorcik; and siblings, Joseph (Anne, dec.) Vontorcik, Stephen (Millie, dec.) Vontorcik, Raymond Vontorcik, Eleanor (Joseph, dec.) Sutkaytis and Bernadette (Leo, dec.) Spreitzer.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
