Obituary for Eleanor C "Aunt El" Kreczko

Mass of Christian Burial for Eleanor C. “Aunt El” Kreczko, 96, of Willoughby, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023, at Immaculate Conception, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Eleanor passed away peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023, surrounded by her family and friends.
Born May 22, 1926, in Cleveland, she had lived in Cuyahoga County before moving to Lake County eight years ago.
Eleanor had worked at General Electric East Cleveland Lamp Plant at Nela Park for 44 years. Her last position was a supervisor of Quality Control, retiring in 1986.
She loved spending time with family, enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, Mahjong, dancing, traveling, and bicycling. She also volunteered at Hospice, Meals on Wheels and as a Red Coat at the Cleveland Playhouse. Everyone loved her homemade Polish chrusciki cookies!
Eleanor was the loving aunt of: Alan (Becky) Kreczko; Greg (Diane) Kreczko; Sandy Kreczko, and Cathy (Tom, deceased) Kreczko. She was the “Best great-aunt” of: Kevin Kreczko; Kim (Sean) Keyes; Nick (Ewa) Kreczko, Ben Kreczko; Becky (Nick) Boak; David Kreczko, Christina (Caleb) Pease, and Ed (Julie) Kreczko, and Mike (Michelle) Kreczko. She was a great-great-aunt of Brayden, Stella, Kate and Theo Keyes, N.J., Boston, and Mathias Boak, Ella Kreczko, Cody Kreczko, and Erin Kreczko. She was a dear friend to Wade Riddell and his son Neil (Kate), Tucker and Fiona.
She leaves behind her “extended family” including the Morgan family and her friends at Ohio Living Breckenridge Village in Willoughby where she resided for the past 8 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mary (nee Rutkowski); her brother Steven (Martha) Kreczko; Edward (Christine) Kreczko and Frank Kreczko; her sisters, Angie (Tony) Silickas and Josephine (Bill) Skodis; and nephew, Terrence (Nancy) Kreczko.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland.
