Obituary for Elaine Hrusovsky
Mass of Christian Burial for Elaine Hrusovsky, 95, of Mentor, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Father Tom Elsasser will officiate.
Elaine passed away Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights.
She was born Nov. 9, 1927, in Cleveland.
Elaine was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Mentor, a lifetime member of Bally’s Health Club, loved to travel and enjoyed being with her family.
She was the loving mother of Denise E. Hrusovsky; cherished grandmother of Kaityln Hershey; dear sister of Florence Hodakievic; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
Elaine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward F. Hrusovsky in 2011; son, Kevin Hershey in 2014; parents, John and Frances (nee Rydz) Zakrzewski; siblings, Adele (Norman, dec.) Scharf, John (Agnes) Zak (Zakrzewski), and Harry (Eleanor, dec.) Zak (Zakrzewski); and brother-in-law, Hank Hodakievic.
Burial will follow the Mass with a graveside service at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.
