Funeral Mass for Edward Garry Wilson, 87, of Eastlake, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021, at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. (Family and friends are asked to please meet at church.)
Edward passed away Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, at Brookdale of Mentor.
Born May 12, 1934, in Cleveland, he had been a resident of Lake County for 59 years.
Edward was a retired Shaker Heights Department firefighter with 29 years of dedicated service to the department.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby and loved the outdoors. After retirement, he worked for Holden Arboretum in Kirtland, and also enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Edward was the loving father of Sharon Marie (Jay) Seaton, Thomas Michael (Debbie) Wilson and Diane M. (Bill) Matuszak; cherished grandfather of Ryan, Sean (Liz), T.J., Jay Christopher, Jordan, Samantha, Jack, Benjamin and Emily; great-grandfather of Warren Garry; brother-in-law of Edwina Wilson; and the uncle and cousin of many.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra M. (nee Adams) Wilson; children, Edward Garry Wilson and Shawn A. Wilson; parents, Thomas J. and Josephine W. (nee Barker) Wilson; and brother, Thomas J. Wilson.
