Obituary for Donna Elaine Danford

Donna Elaine (nee Ackley) Danford, 65, of Willoughby, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021, at Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland.
Born Aug. 15, 1955, in Ft. Meade, Md., she had lived in Jamestown, N.Y., and Kingsville before moving to Willoughby seven years ago.
Donna had worked as a caregiver for Better at Home. She loved her children and especially her grandchildren. Donna was devoted to her rescue dogs and rescue cats and loved cooking, gardening and her flowers.
She was the beloved wife of J. Matthew Danford of Willoughby; loving mother of Damian Jungquist of Marysville, Wash., Gabriel (Christi) Zelinka of Mentor, Jeremy Zelinka of Tampa, Fla., Jessa Janes (Adamic) of Colorado, Paige (Gareth) Freeland (Adamic) of West Springfield, Pa., and Kristian (Francisco) Rodriguez (Adamic) of Painesville; cherished grandmother of Kain Jungquist, Julian Zelinka, Holden Zelinka, Blake Lahnan, Soren Freeland, Roland Freeland, Aiden Rodriguez, Sofia Rodriguez, Teagan Janes and Delaney Janes; and sister of Thekla (Chet) Null, Helen (Jim) Huntington, and Rick (Paula) Moore; aunt of Jason Null, Jocelyn Sarapata, and Ryan Cobb.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Thekla (nee Grossell) Moore; and granddaughter, Lyra Freeland.
Family will receive friends from 12 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2021, at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby, with a Celebration of Life at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be private.(Due to Covid-19, the wearing of masks and social distancing will be observed.)
