Obituary for Dolores R Ganss
Dolores R. (nee Reiter) Ganss, 92, of Willoughby, passed away Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, at Mentor Ridge Health and Rehabilitation in Mentor.
Born Nov. 16, 1928, in Cleveland, she had been a resident of Lake County for more than 70 years, living in Willowick before moving to Willoughby.
Dolores was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Willoughby and a volunteer for many years at Lake Health West Medical Center and Breckenridge Village in Willoughby. She was an outstanding seamstress and loved doing alterations and making outfits. She also enjoyed doing calligraphy.
She was the loving mother of Lynda R. Ganss Bedenko, Larry R. Ganss and Roger L. (Carol) Ganss.
Dolores was preceded in death by her former husband, Robert F. Ganss; son-in-law, Richard J. Bedenko; parents, Elmer and Minnie (nee Knaack) Reiter; and sister, Eileen D. (Jim, dec.) Butler.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name may be made to the Lake County Humane Society, 7564 Tyler Blvd., Mentor, OH 44060.
