Obituary for Dewey E Sutphin
Dewey E. Sutphin, 78, of Willowick, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022, at his residence.
Born Oct. 1, 1943, in Van, W.Va., he had been a resident of Lake County for more than 37 years.
Dewey was a U.S. Navy veteran, enjoyed exercise and always strived for good health. He also liked to travel by car visiting almost every state.
Mr. Sutphin was a retired truck driver.
He was the beloved husband of 54 years to Diana J. (nee Zucco) Sutphin; loving father of Rachel L. Hallaran (fiancé, Brian VanderPutt; dear brother of Reggie Sutphin and Carol Yates Gardner; and brother-in-law of Gerald Holbrook.
Dewey was preceded in death by his parents, James Albert and Oma (nee Workman) Sutphin; sister, Phyllis Holbrook; sister-in-law, Gayle Sutphin; and father-in-law, Dennis Hallaran.
Private services will be held.
