Obituary for Delores M Erickson

Mass of Christian Burial for Delores M. (nee Ford) Erickson, 91, of Concord Township, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Delores passed away Monday, May 30, 2022, at Vista Springs Quail Highland in Concord Township.
Born Nov, 14, 1930, in Conneaut, she had been a resident of Lake County for 65 years.
She was a member of the Sweet Adelines, St. Anthony Church in Fairport Harbor, and a former member of St. Mary Magdalene Church in Willowick. Always generous and taking care of other people, she was the “ultimate caregiver.”
For many years Delores, along with her husband Walter “Beanie,” were the owners and operators of Beanie’s Lounge.
Delores was the loving mother of Mark H. (Loretta) Erickson, Janet L. Kelly, John R. (Darcy) Erickson, Jeanne (Gerry) Wojciechowicz, Patricia (Bryan) Zuber, Robert (Mary) Erickson and Maria (Jeffery) Canzonetta; cherished grandmother of Matthew (Michelle) Erickson, Robert Erickson, Patrick (Katie) Erickson, Paul (Jessica) Erickson, John (Yvette) Erickson, Andrew Erickson, Ashley Kelly, Maureen Kelly, Sarah (Gray) Cooper, Joseph (Marissa) Erickson, Celeste (Justin) Muir, Alex (Michelle) Wojciechowicz, Zachary Zuber and Isabella Canzonetta;
great-grandmother of Haley and Kirsten Erickson, Henry and June Cooper, Maya and Easton Erickson, Joseph and Adeline Muir and Nora Wojciechowicz; sister-in-law of Joan (John) Groesch; aunt of Eric (Allison) Groesch, Mark (Mimi) Groesch and Michael (Stephanie) Groesch; and members of the Grant family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter H. “Beanie” Erickson in 1988; loving companion, Corwin “Fritz” Grant, with whom she enjoyed many years travelling with the NEO Model-A-Club; son-in-law, Timothy Kelly; parents, Alex and Elsa (nee Gowanlock) Ford; sisters, Helen Cameron and Shirley Winter; and niece, Amy Groesch.
The Erickson family wishes to thank all of the caregivers that took such great care of Delores at Vista Springs Quail Highland.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 10, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in Mentor Cemetery.
