Obituary for Cynthia A "Cindy" Ferritto

Funeral Mass for Cynthia A. “Cindy” (nee Piquette) Ferritto, 64, of Madison, will be 9:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Cindy passed away Friday, Aug. 11, 2023, at UH TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township.
Born April 24, 1959, in Painesville, she had lived in Willoughby before moving to Madison four years ago.
Cindy was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby, where she was a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society, where she was the case manager for 10 years. She was also a former Girl Scout Leader, a member and had served as President of Gamma Theta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Teacher’s Society, liked to swim and read, loved her kitties, Binx and Winnie, and enjoyed having her weekly lunch with her girlfriend, Barb.
Mrs. Ferritto was a retired teacher of 24 years from the Madison Local Schools and had formerly worked at the Deepwood Center and Broadmoor School.
Cindy was the beloved wife of 43 years to James A. Ferritto; loving mother of Megan L. Ferritto; dear sister of Susan M. (Martin) Ozanick; sister-in-law of Anna Piquette, Connie (Bill) Miller and Greg (Jan) Ferritto; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Joseph and Elaine Edna (nee Jaunbral) Piquette; brother, Michael A. Piquette; and in-laws, Albert J. and Josephine (nee Staszkowycz) Ferritto.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery.
Contributions in her name are suggested to the St. Vincent DePaul Society of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby.
