Obituary for Craig J Mayo
Funeral Mass for Craig J. Mayo, 51, of Mentor, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021, at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Craig passed away Saturday morning, Dec. 25, 2021, at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township surrounded by his family.
Born Aug. 7, 1970, in Euclid, he had been a lifetime resident of Lake County.
Craig was a graduate of Kirtland High School and an avid supporter of their sports programs, especially the Kirtland Hornets football team. Craig attended all of his daughter, Kaitlyn’s Mentor softball league games and played a significant role in supporting her team. He could always be seen near the dugout cheering for the team. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby.
Craig was the dearest father of Kaitlyn R. Mayo; loving brother of Diane Mayo, Richard Mayo and Ralph (Kathy) Mayo; uncle of Noah Mayo; and a nephew, uncle, cousin and friend of many.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. (Masking will be required.) There will be a private burial at a later date at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
