Funeral Mass for Colleen Ann O’Brien-Eckert, 65, of Eastlake, will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor. Father Alex Clark will officiate.
Colleen passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at her residence.
Born May 8, 1957, in Cleveland, she had been a resident of Lake County for 32 years.
Family was most important to her and spending time with her grandchildren was her top priority.
Colleen was a retired employee of Society National Bank (now KeyBank), retiring after 45 years of service.
She was the loving mother of Kelly A. (Darren) Hoernig, Kristy (Jonathon) Calabrese, Stephanie (Brian) Evans and Melanie Eckert; cherished grandmother of Ryan, Anna, Owen, Leo, Brooke, Isla, Cecilia and Declan; dear daughter of Eileen T. (nee O’Malley) O’Brien; sister of James (Rose) O’Brien, Terry (Karen) O’Brien, Tom (Erin) O’Brien, Eileen (Scott) Foreman, and Kevin (Lynn) O’Brien; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
Colleen was preceded in death by her beloved son, Tommy Eckert; grandson, Anthony; and father, James E. O’Brien.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 17, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor. Burial will follow the Mass at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
