Obituary for Christine Ann Callow

Christine Ann Callow, 72, of Mentor, passed away Sunday, Nov. 26, 2023, at South Pointe Hospital in Warrensville Heights.
Born Nov. 28, 1950, in Erie, Pa., she had been a resident of Lake County for 20 years.
Christine loved her family very much. Finding her laughing in the middle of a crowd of family and friends was commonplace. She was devoted to her mom, Marianne, especially after the death of her father Rudy. She spent many weekends in Erie taking care of her needs and making sure that she was happy, in that special Christine way. Christine was also known as “Aunt Chrissy.” Jessica, Luke, Katie, Matthew, Elizabeth, Daniel, Lauren and Jennifer loved spending time with her and feeling so special around her. She also had fun fishing and watching sports, especially football.
Christine was an excellent administrative assistant. In that capacity she worked for Erie Insurance and UPMC Hamot, before taking a key position in Boston at Deloitte and Touche to work with one of the partners in that firm. Chris relocated again with Deloitte and Touche this time to Arizona where she met Dee, the love of her life. Chris continued her career in Chicago and eventually Cleveland. Anyone who worked with Chris knew how meticulous she was and always willing to lend a hand.
Christine was the beloved wife of 16 years of Dee H. Callow; dear sister of Karen (Steve) Homer, James (Pamela) Kwiatkowski, and Cindy Baney; sister-in-law of Joyce Leipski of Tampa, Fla. She will also be sadly missed by Dee's daughter, Holly, of Ocean Shores, Wash.; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and all her many friends, particularly her Dinner Club friends, with whom she made so many special memories.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Marianne (nee Wolfrom) Kwiatkowski; and sister-in-law, Nancy Konow.
Services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or at www.StJude.org.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
