Obituary for Carmen Tripepi

Funeral Mass for Carmen Tripepi, 91, of Willoughby, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Carmen passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Kirtland Rehabilitation and Care Center in Kirtland.
Born Nov. 20, 1930, he had been a lifetime resident of Lake County.
Carmen was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby, Palmer-Roberts American Legion Post 214 in Willoughby, and V.F.W. Post 1500 in Willoughby. He was the band leader of Carmen and the Carmenairs. He was a very family oriented man, who loved children, working outside, painting, and gardening. Carmen loved music, especially polkas, and attending church festivals.
He was a hardworking man who retired as a U.S. Postal Carrier for over 35 years.
Carmen was the loving father of Denise M. Tripepi (Steve Proffitt) and Carla J. (Brett) Loos; cherished grandfather of Carmen, Marina and Kyle; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty M. (nee Somuk) Tripepi; parents, Pasquale and Francesca (nee Rositano) Tripepi; and siblings, Dominic (Hannah) Tripepi, Pat (Lou) Tripepi, Frank (Vinny) Tripepi, Rocco (Peggy) Tripepi, and Sam Tripepi.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 13, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will follow the Mass at Willoughby Cemetery.
