Obituary for Carmella Wheeler
Funeral Mass for Carmella (nee DeCapite) Wheeler, 74, of Mentor, will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2023, at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor. Father Tom Johns will officiate.
Carmella passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at her home.
Born Aug. 31, 1948, in Cleveland, she had been a resident of Lake County for 33 years.
She was a member of St. John Vianney Church in Mentor, and liked flowers, gardening and bowling.
Carmella was the beloved wife of 51 years to Kenneth R. Wheeler; loving mother of Jennifer A. (Keith) Parker, Greg A. (Jess) Wheeler and Mark J. (Randi) Wheeler; cherished grandmother of Alex, Katrina, Vera and Marty; dear sister of Tina R. (Tom) Tabor; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Angelo and Vera (nee Tripodo) DeCapite.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 30, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor. Interment will follow the Mass at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
