Funeral Mass for Barbara Ann Petterson, 80, of Kirtland Hills, will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 4, at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Rd., Mentor. Father Tom Johns will be officiating.
Barbara passed away Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024, peacefully at home.
Born Jan. 1, 1944, in Cleveland, Barbara had lived in Lake County for the last 75 years.
Barbara was the chair of NAMI Lake County, head of the Mental Health Support group at St. John Vianney, and a Bridges support volunteer. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed cruising with friends.
Barbara was the beloved wife of Norman J. Petterson; loving mother of Thomas Shipley and Nicole (Geoff) Hadden; cherished grandmother of Joel Temple and Aaron Hadden; great-grandmother of Katya Cobb; and sister of Roberta (Mark) Patterson and Patricia (Bill) Griffith.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Helen (nee Baldassarre) Brunetti.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 3, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, North of Route 2), in Mentor. Burial will follow the Mass at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
