Obituary for Andrew Steven Medves
Andrew Steven Medves, 32, of Lake-in-the-Hills, Ill., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2023, at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village, Ill.
Born March 30, 1990, in Euclid, he had lived in Mentor for three years before moving to Illinois 29 years ago.
Andrew worked as an Uber driver. He loved music and was an amazing drummer. Andrew loved jamming out with his friends and his tastes in music included classic rock as well as any good alternative songs. He loved his family, especially his baby sister, Megan and had a closer knit group of friends that were also like family to him that he loved gaming with at night.
He was the beloved son of Steven A. Medves of Lakewood Ranch, Fla., and Nancy (nee Kendzierski) Medves of Darien, Ill.; cherished brother of Megan Lee Medves of McHenry, Ill.; dear grandson of Carolyn Lee Medves; nephew of Michael Medves, Richard (Cecilia) Kendzierski, James Kendzierski, and Joyce Lee Kendzierski; and cousin of many.
Andrew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert J. Medves, Adam T. and Phyllis R. (nee Brown) Kendzierski; aunts, Pamela Lee Medves and Terri Lynn Kendzierski; and uncles, David Medves and James Medves.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2023, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, where a Prayer Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18. Fr. Dennis McNeill and Brenda Barbarino will be co-celebrants. Burial will follow the service at Willoughby Memorial Gardens.
