Obituary for Alice E Schweitzer
Alice E. (nee Eschmann) Schweitzer, 97, of Concord Township, passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, 2022, at Kemper House in Highland Heights.
Born Nov. 24, 1924, in Boston, Mass., she had been a lifelong resident of Lake County.
Alice was a U.S. Navy veteran. She was a member of the League of Women Voters, loved gardening and was an avid reader, especially John Grisham novels. Alice also enjoyed animals, particularly dogs.
She was the loving mother of Joan Degenhardt, Betsy (Tom) McCort and Lynn (Dan) Zivko; cherished grandmother of Julie (Rick) Kachmar, Katy (Rich) Dugger, Mathew Speer, Mark Speer and Andy Degenhardt; and great-grandmother of Ellison Dugger, Gigi Dugger, Madison Kachmar and Daniel Reardon.
Alice was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Earl O. Schweitzer in 2005; granddaughters, Jenny Zivko and Kim Reardon; and parents, Jean and Elia (nee Borderie) Eschmann.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
