- Funeral services for Paul M. Yannie, 68, of Mentor, will be 8 p.m. Tuesday at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. Mr. Yannie passed away Thursday, June 17, 2010, at Veterans Administration Wade Park Hospice in Cleveland. Born April 19, 1942, in Cleveland, he was a Lake County resident for 11 years, living in Mentor, and previously lived in Richmond Heights. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Mr. Yannie was a retired ironworker and member of Ironworkers Local 17. He was the beloved father of David W. Yannie; stepfather of Sandy (Rick) Larrabee and Sam (Janie) Schwan; loving brother of Donna S. (Robert) Conklin of Mentor-on-the-Lake; and brother-in-law of Johanna Yannie. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews and was a good friend to many. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Karen (Shoaff) Yannie; parents, Noah and Elsie (Martin) Yannie; and brothers, Richard Yannie and Robert Yannie. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
