    • Funeral Mass for Barbara Jean (Theisen) Betts will be 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, at Chapel of the Divine Word Catholic Church, 8100 Eagle Road, Kirtland. Mrs. Betts passed away Feb. 12, 2010, at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland. She was born Nov. 17, 1933, in Loyal, Wis. She loved music and singing and was devoted to her husband and family. She always had time for a friend and a warm hug. She enjoyed seeing and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Divine Word Choir, Ladies Guild of Divine Word, Divine Word Prayer Group, Kirtland Seniors, Hi Fives of Divine Word and PERI Chapter 28. Survivors include her husband, Homer R. Betts, whom she married at St. Anthony's Church in Loyal on Nov. 5, 1955; siblings, Betty and Jerome Johnson and Charles and Carol Theisen; sisters-in-law, Ethelyn Theisen and Dorothy Theisen; children, Ann Marie (William J.) Rullis of Highland Heights, Kathleen S. (William R.) Norris of Ft. Myers, Fla., John A. (Diana) Betts of Kirtland and Thomas W. (Lisa) Betts of Hudson; grandchildren, Theresa Russell, Katie Norris, William P. Rullis, Barbara Friedman, Jessica Betts, Ryan Betts, Christine Betts, Emily Betts, Jonathan Rullis, Alexa Betts and Samantha Betts; great-grandchildren, Lailah Rullis, Leah Russell and Julia Rullis; and 30 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mae (Reif) Theisen and William F. Theisen; and siblings, Leo and Elenore Theisen, Bill Theisen, Eleanore and Jerry Norton, Ray Theisen, Florence and James Ward, Mary and Fritz Helm, and Abbot Primate Jerome Theisen OSB. Calling hours are 9 to 11 a.m. Monday in the church gathering area. A comfort meal will follow the Mass.
