Robert W. McConnell Sr., 90, of Euclid, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland. He was born Aug. 17, 1928 in St. Marys, PA and had lived in Euclid for 60 years. Loving husband of 64 years to Rose (nee Lorenzo). Adoring father of Alan D. of Euclid and Robert W. (Ellen) of South Euclid. Grandfather of Edward, Alison (Joel), Ashley (Will) and Braden. Great grandfather of 12. Brother of Margaret (Bernie) Toger. Adopted grandfather of many. Preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Loretta (nee Fox); granddaughter, Melissa; and brothers, John and Charles. World War II veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked at TRW for 48 years. He loved country music, fishing, hunting and watching TV, especially westerns and was a longtime coach of youth athletics.
