Obituary for Jack Jacklitz Jr.

Print
Heaven just welcomed the world’s best brother, uncle and Cleveland Indians and Cavaliers fan, “Willoughby Jack” Jacklitz.
Jack passed away Sept. 21, 2018.
He was born in Cleveland in 1955 to Grace and John Jacklitz, known for their commitment to people with developmental disabilities. He was a resident of Lake County for nearly 50 years. A passionate Cleveland sports fan, Jack could be found walking the streets of Willoughby with a transistor radio to his ear or heard protesting lost games on the Pete Franklin show. Jack was always ready for a fish sandwich and an O’Douls beer.
Jack was a loving brother to his sisters, Suzy and Jill, always giving them a reason to laugh. He adored his nephews, Nicholas and Nathaniel; niece, Odessa; and his godparents, Molly Guenther and David Strnad. His aunts, uncles, cousins, housemates, co-workers and friends will miss his unconditional love.
His sisters are very grateful to Deepwood Center, the staff at his home on Heisley Rd., and the Hospice of the Western Reserve for their loving care.
The family will receive friends at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave.,Willoughby, (located on the grounds of the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept 29, 2018, with a Celebration of Life service at 12:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made in Jack’s memory to the Deepwood Foundation, 8121 Deepwood Blvd., Mentor 44060.
Jack was one in a million.
