Florence L. “Leona” (nee Liptrap) Phillips, 90, of Eastlake, passed away Sept. 17, 2018, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 19, 1928, in Hot Springs, Va.
Florence was a nurse’s aide at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby and served as a nurse at Longfellow School in Eastlake, retiring in 2006. She had also worked as a secretary at Willo-Hill Church.
She was the loving mother of Joseph (Mary) Phillips, Sadie Mohr and Ernest (Darlene) Phillips; cherished grandmother of Christina, Ernie, Daniel, Liz, and Jen; great-grandmother of Amethyst, Kevin, Taylor, Ernie, Jack, Dylan, Anna and Miles; and great-great-grandmother of Sydney.
Florence was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alden “Vane” Phillips in 1978; and parents, Dudley P. and Florence (nee Kesey) Liptrap.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby.
