Obituary for Rita M Kerber

Rita M. (nee Suda) Kerber, 98, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Aberdeen Crossing in Mayfield Village.
Born Sept. 13, 1919, she had been born and raised in Cleveland, raised her family in Euclid, and then lived in Solon before moving to Mayfield Village.
Rita was a 1937 graduate of Maple Heights High School and had attended Dyke College secretarial school. She enjoyed square dancing, pinochle, and camping with family and friends, reading, playing bingo (winning those “Bingo Bucks”), and had traveled extensively, visiting all 50 states.
Mrs. Kerber had worked at Wisco Piston.
She was the loving mother of Patricia Connors and Paul (Susan) Schumacher; mother-in-law of Donna Schumacher; cherished grandmother of Michael, Vincent, Robert (Stephanie) Connors, Steven and Thomas Schumacher, and Lisa (Rob) Banda; great-grandmother of Sophia Connors and Amanda (Sean) Kelleher; and great-great-grandmother of Jaxon Kelleher.
Rita was preceded in death by her beloved husbands, Elwyn Kerber and Harold Schumacher; son, James Schumacher; parents, Joseph and Mae (nee Pavlik) Suda; and brother, Leonard Suda.
Family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. Saturday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby, with a prayer service to be conducted at 11:15 a.m. Fr. Dennis McNeil of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland.
