Obituary for Joy K Distefano

Joy K. (nee Bennett) Distefano, 79, of Mentor, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born Jan. 10, 1939, in Cleveland, she had been a resident of Lake County for more than 50 years.
She was a loving mom and grandma, who loved decorating and gardening.
Mrs. Distefano had worked with Accent Kitchen in Cleveland and Modern Builders Supply.
She was the loving mother of Antoinette K. (Douglas) Leveraux and Victoria A. (Joseph) Wenzel; cherished grandmother of Denise Leveraux, Brian Leveraux, Daniel Wenzel, Rachel Wenzel, Michael Wenzel and Mitchell Brown; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
Joy was preceded in death by her beloved husbands, Paul Distefano and Robert Brown; dear son, Christopher R. Brown; grandson, Mark Leveraux; parents, Christopher and Hedwig (nee Imbing) Bennett; sisters, Virginia Vick and Shirley Scott; and brothers-in-law, Bill Vick and Lou Scott.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, with a prayer service for Joy and her late son, Christopher, to be held at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Bruce Becker of Mentor United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be private.
