Memorial services for Esther Patricia (nee Woods) White, 88, of Wickliffe, will be 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township, followed by interment.
Mrs. White passed away Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, at Heather Hill Nursing Facility in Chardon.
Born Dec. 4, 1929, in Martins Ferry, she had lived in Euclid before moving to Lake County 30 years ago, living in Wickliffe.
Esther was a homemaker, a member of the Women’s Junior Board of Euclid Hospital and a Euclid Hospital volunteer. She was an avid bowler, golfer, enjoyed decorating her home, her three Sheltie dogs, holiday get-togethers with her family, and dancing with her husband to Big Band sounds. Esther also like to play cards and collected Hummels.
She was the loving mother of Robert E. White and Brenda W. (Theo) Mezaris; cherished grandmother of Philip White, Michelle Mezaris, and Megan (Ted) Riegling; great-grandmother of Erica, Philip Jr., Serenity, Audrey, Evelyn and Teddy; great-great-grandmother of Genesis; sister of Peg Knellinger and John (Judy) Woods; sister-in-law of Ken Willard; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
Esther was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert H. White in 2003; parents, Harlan Elijah and Margaret Marie (nee Moran) Woods; sister, Harlean Craven; and brother-in-law, Jack Knellinger.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 74924, Cleveland, OH 44194, or Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
