Obituary for Leroy Mezget

Services for Leroy Mezget, 80, of Mentor (Concord Twp.), will be held at a later date.
Mr. Mezget passed away Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, at Symphony of Mentor.
Born April 27, 1937, in Cleveland, he had been a resident of Lake County for 50 years, living in Concord Township.
Leroy was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the King of Kings Lutheran Church in Willoughby.
He was the former husband of Betty (nee Dillon) Yutzy; loving father of Lisa (nee Mezget) Fenton, Lee M. (Cynthia) Mezget, Stephen (Jennifer) Mezget and Adam Mezget; cherished grandfather of Michael (Whitney) Fenton, Mitchell Fenton, Matthew (Lacey) Fenton, Andrew Bukovec, Makenna Mezget, Brennan Jahnke, Shelby Jahnke, Stephen Mezget and Zachary Mezget; great-grandfather of Michael Conner Fenton; and brother of Jeanette Mazany and Adrienne Sonnie.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Mildred (nee Heffner) Mezget.
Memorial visitation will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave., (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby. A celebration of life service will follow at 5 p.m.
