Funeral Mass for Sandra Jean (nee Averson) Drenser, 69, of Mentor, will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Fr. Tom Elsasser will officiate the Mass.
Mrs. Drenser passed away Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017, at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township.
Born Feb. 20, 1948, in Cleveland, she had been a Lake County resident for 61 years, living in Wickliffe before moving to Mentor.
Sandra was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Mentor, and loved playing Pickle Ball, decorating, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Mrs. Drenser served on the Board of Directors as Volunteer Coordinator at the Mentor Senior Center.
She was the loving mother of Karen (Tim) Van Simaeys of Sylvania, Sharon (Paul) Lipic of West Chester and Robert (AnneMarie) Valley of Mentor; stepmother of Jeff (Julie) Strogin of Mentor; cherished grandmother of Kyle, Karli, Jessica, Hanna, Frankie, Gianna, David, Rachel and Emily; sister of Grant and Richard Averson; and the aunt of nieces and nephews.
Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Russell Edward Drenser in 2004; and parents, Grant and Helen (nee Carlini) Averson.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. Burial will be in Mentor Cemetery.
