Mass of Christian Burial for Elaine D. (nee Beans) Espie, 76, of Mentor, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor.
Mrs. Espie passed away Oct. 11, 2017, at her residence in Mentor.
She was born Nov. 28, 1940, in Cleveland.
Elaine was a member of St. Bede the Venerable Church in Mentor and a 1958 graduate of Painesville Harvey High School. She enjoyed bowling, traveling and was an animal lover.
Elaine was the dear sister of Paul (Judy) Beans, Mary E. (Bob) Blankschaen, Tom (Susan) Bean, and Nancy Bogart; sister-in-law of Loretta Trower; and the beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David W. Espie in 2013; parents, Harold G. and Eleanor (nee Schimmelman) Beans; brothers-in-law, Hank Bogart and Carlie Trower.
Family will receive friends at a gathering from 10:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the Mass at the church. Burial will be private.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
