Funeral services for Lucille L. (nee Pfeiffer) Wilmot, 95, of Mentor, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Advent Lutheran Church, 7985 Munson Road, Mentor. Pastor Steve Bond will officiate. (Family and friends are asked to please meet at church.)
Mrs. Wilmot passed away Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, at her residence with her family at her side.
Born Nov. 27, 1921, in Cleveland, she had been a resident of Lake County for 45 years, living in Willowick before moving to Mentor.
Lucille loved her family and enjoyed raising all of her children and grandchildren.
She was the loving mother of Terri L. Jochum, Richard C. (Bonnie) Wilmot, Timothy B. (Marguerite) Wilmot, Kathryn E. Mitchell, Margaret (Tom) Clapp and E. Scott (Kelly) Wilmot; stepmother of Carol A. (Jack) Davison; cherished grandmother of 17; great-grandmother of 18; great-great-grandmother of three; sister-in-law of Florence Pfeiffer; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Lucille was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard R. Wilmot in 1992; Nancy M. Wilmot; parents, Heinrich G. and Amelia A. (nee Meister) Pfeiffer; siblings, twin brother Otto Pfeiffer, Henry (Pearl) Pfeiffer, Fred Pfeiffer, Margaret (Clarence) Gedeon and Martha (Fred) Thompson.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the church prior to the service. Burial will be in Claridon Center Cemetery in Claridon Township.
