Douglas F.  Acebal
Douglas F. Acebal, 75, of Willoughby, passed away Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017. A celebration of Doug’s life will be held at The Craggy Bogland Pub, 4857 Robinhood Dr. in Willoughby, starting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017.
Born July 28, 1942 in Mamaroneck, NY, he had been a resident of Lake County living in Willoughby for the past 18 years.
Doug loved life and loved to laugh. He loved family, friends and nature and had a strong passion for his country, the Cavs, the Tribe, and the Browns. He was a proud father and grandfather and saw the best in everything.
He was the loving father of Sheryl Acebal, Jeannette Acebal and Douglas J. (Lynne) Acebal; step father of Kelly (Dennis Opsitnik) Riley and Sheri Martini; grandfather of Jamie, Crystina, Corie, Nick, Nicole, Mariah, Anthony, Zoe, Ona, Samantha, Adam, Charlie and Lillian; great-grandfather of six; brother of Linda, Carl and Marilyn; uncle of many; and also survived by his dog, Pepper.
Doug was preceeded in death by his beloved wife, Bonnie Lee (nee Chakvary) Acebal; and parents, Frank and Marion Acebal; and brother, Ron Acebal.
