Obituary for Stanley P Wlodarczyk

Stanley P. “Stan” Wlodarczyk, 60, of Willoughby, passed away Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, with his children by his side.
Stan was born Sept. 24, 1956, in Willoughby to the late Stan and Jean (nee Dobre) Wlodarczyk.
He graduated from North High School in Eastlake in 1974. He married his high school sweetheart, Josephine Losecco in 1979, and they built a family in Stan’s childhood home. Stan loved anything mechanical and started playing with cars, lawnmowers, and motorcycles at a young age. Cars remained a passion throughout his life as he fixed, built, and raced anything he could.
He taught at Ohio Diesel Tech at the beginning of his career, then became a long-distance trucker for many years. He was an expert mechanic for Anthony Allega Cement Contractors, the City of Kirtland, and Great Lakes Construction Company, among others
Stan was a man of his word, an incredibly hard worker, and a genuine friend. He loved his family fiercely and did everything for them. His recent cancer diagnosis did not slow him down as he continued working and racing to the end.
Stan is survived by Josephine Losecco; daughter, Terri Wlodarczyk; son, Buddy Wlodarczyk; and many friends and family.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, with a celebration of life service at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to DRAW – Drag Racing Association of Women.
