Chris Nicely passed away at his apartment Aug. 21, 2017, at the age of 57.
Chris was the loving father of Kaitlyn, Alison and Christopher and will lovingly be remembered by his siblings and their families, Geoffrey (Sue), Kathleen (Gene), Michael (Kelli), Timothy, and Bud (Lisa). He is also survived by his children’s mother, Judy Nicely.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, George and Constance Nicely; sister, Susan Strogin; sister-in-law, Robin; and nephews, Edward Fowler and Joey Strogin.
Chris was born in Wickliffe and moved to Willoughby Hills and was a Willoughby South High Sports Hall of Fame member for football. He had a passion for sports, including golf, football and softball.
Chris was a member of Pipefitters Local 120, and a proud member of AA, where he had helped many men in the program.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor, with a prayer service to be held at 5:30 p.m. “Come celebrate his life with us.”
