Funeral services for Dennis M. Zagorc, 72, of Willoughby, will be 12 noon Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Mr. Zagorc passed away Monday, July 31, 2017, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born Dec. 28, 1944, in Cleveland, he had been a resident of Lake County for the past 30 years.
Denny was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby, and a former member of Palmer-Roberts American Legion Post 214 in Willoughby. He loved golf and enjoyed sports, especially baseball, where he coached Little League (tournament champs) in Collinwood.
Mr. Zagorc was a retired employee of Lincoln Electric, retiring in 2007.
Denny was the beloved husband of 49 years to Susan (nee Zygadlo) Zagorc; loving father of Debra M. Zagorc (fiancé, Jerry Nagy), Douglas Patrick (Robyn) Zagorc, Vincent Anthony Zagorc, and Jennifer Zagorc; cherished grandfather of Patrick Jacob Zagorc and Nathan Douglas Zagorc; brother of Rev. Francis Zagorc C.S.C., Clare (Joseph) Bazzichi and Thomas (Ann) Zagorc; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin A. and Frances (nee Vidmar) Zagorc; and siblings, Martin (Shirley) Zagorc, Edward (Anna) Zagorc, Therese (Robert) Young, Mercedes A. (Aloysius) Nemec, Sr. Mary Zagorc O.S.U., Bernadette Zagorc and Marian Zagorc.
Family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, Aug. 19, at the funeral home. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
