Obituary for James Joseph Griff

James Joseph Griff, 57, of Willoughby, passed away Feb. 1, 2017, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland, surrounded by his loving family.
Born March 13, 1959, in Cleveland, he had been a resident of Seattle, Wash., for 16 years before moving to Willoughby.
Jim was a graduate of St. Mary’s in Collinwood, St. Joseph’s High School, and Cleveland State University with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, with concentrations in accounting and taxation.
Jim’s career was in accounting and finance and was an assistant controller for long-term care facilities and a consultant.
The family is grateful to all the people that have been so caring. Jim will be greatly missed by all his family.
Jim was the beloved son of Dorothy (nee Cekada) and the late Howard "Howie" Griff; loving brother of Laura (Al Zehe) and Michael (Ann Marie) of Seattle, Wash.; and cherished uncle of Peter and Mia. He also leaves many special uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and special people at Willo True Value Hardware.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Collinwood with burial to follow at All Souls Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made to St. Mary’s Church, 15519 Holmes Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
