Funeral services for Ronald L. Bede, age 65, of Mentor, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 9650 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Mentor.
Mr. Bede passed away Jan. 5, 2017, at his residence with his family at his side.
Born March 12, 1951, in Cleveland, he had been a resident of Mentor for over 50 years.
Ronald was formerly a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Painesville and was a huge Mentor High School football fan, having been a season ticket holder for 16 years. He also enjoyed auto racing, model trains and most all his family.
Mr. Bede had worked for CT Consultants for 39 years.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 37 years, Ruth (nee Blake); children, Mary (Michael) Graves, Elizabeth Williams, Michael (Sarah) and Ellen (Thomas) Hull; grandchildren, Alex and Chris Graves, Dwayne and Aleaha Williams, Holland Bede and Logan and Benjamin Hull; and brother, Robert (Sharon).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Ellen (nee Pohlman).
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church with a service to follow. Fr. Andrew Clements will officiate. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ronald’s memory to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, or Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
