Funeral Mass for Joan E. Richards, 88, of Willoughby will be 9:30 AM Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Miss Richards passed away Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016 at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Hts.
Born Oct. 20, 1928, she had been a resident of Willoughby since 1932.
Joan received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ursuline College. She was formerly the Registrar of Saint John College of Cleveland and Assistant Registrar of Cleveland State University. She was Past President of the Ohio Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers.
She loved visiting with her family and friends.
Joan was the loving sister of Daniel F. (Grace) Richards and Ann H. Richards; sister-in-law of Trudy (John Jr.) Richards, Beverly (James) Richards, and Minnie (Leonard) Richards; aunt of 14 nieces
and nephews and great aunt of 21 great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, John L. Richards in 1943 and her mother, Marie M. Richards in 1996; siblings, Marie M., John L., James T. and Leonard A. Richards.
Family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
