Funeral Mass for Jeanette M. (nee Hanus) Pizem. 72, of Willoughby, will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor. Fr. Tom Johns will officiate the Mass.
Mrs. Pizem passed away Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, at The Cleveland Clinic.
Born March 15, 1944, in Cleveland, she had been a resident of Lake County for the past 47 years.
She was a founding member of St. John Vianney Church in Mentor, where she was principal of P.S.R. Jeanette was also a volunteer at University Hospital and St. Luke’s Hospital.
Jeanette was the beloved wife of 50 years to Leonard F. Pizem; loving mother of Laura M. (Jeffrey) Urban, Jeffrey F. (Janice) Pizem and Elizabeth A. (Harold) Hipps; cherished grandmother of Drew, Kali, Natalie, Nathan, Nora and Zachary; sister of Jack (Laura Jo) Hanus, Nancy (Michael) Shubert and Frank Hanus; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Beatrice (nee Earhart) Hanus.
Family will receive friends may call friends 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
