Obituary for Neil H Muehlhauser

Celebration of Life services for Neil H. Muehlhauser, 90, of Painesville Township, will be 6:30 p.m. Friday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby.
Mr. Muehlhauser passed away Monday, Aug. 15, 2016, at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born Jan. 15, 1926, in Cleveland, he had been a resident of Lake County for 79 years, living in Willoughby for most of his life and Streetsboro for 10 years, before moving to Painesville Township.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Mentor and Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby and a U.S. Navy veteran. Neil also enjoyed golfing and bowling.
Mr. Muehlhauser had worked at Ohio Rubber in Willoughby.
He was the loving father of Nancy (John) Goodwin, Lynn (Richard) Cooper, Craig (Denise) Muehlhauser, Dan (Denise) Muehlhauser and Laurel (Joe) Crusse; devoted grandfather of Uri, Adam, Karla, Tanya, Justin, Shannon, Kelsey, Elise, Charity and John; great-grandfather of 14; and brother-in-law of Lois Scranton.
Neil was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia Mae (nee Carraher) Muehlhauser; parents, Herbert and Leona (nee Cable) Muehlhauser; and brother, Don Muehlhauser.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at The Abbey of Willoughby. Burial will be private.
