Obituary for Marlene Claire Spath

Celebration of Life services for Marlene Claire (nee Thomas) Spath, 82, of Cleveland, will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby.
Mrs. Spath passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at her residence in Cleveland.
She was born Aug. 6, 1933, in Cleveland.
Mrs. Spath was a former member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed camping, clogging and horseback riding.
She was the loving mother of Debra L. (Edward) Krantz and Sandra M. (Thomas) Leavitt; cherished grandmother of Lisa (Nick), David (Felicia), Leslie (Mike), Laura (Byron), Heather (Rich), Kristine and Shannon (Jason); great-grandmother of Robert, MaryElizabeth, Charles, Alexandria, Ally, Zoe, Joshua and Timothy; sister of Virginia Stevenson; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William P. Spath in 2005; great-grandson, Trig; and parents, Melvin D. and Marjorie E. (nee Hussong) Thomas.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
