Obituary for James O Butcher Jr.

James O. Butcher Jr., 91, of Willowick, passed away Jan. 14, 2016, at his residence.
Born May 18, 1924, in Buckhannon, W.Va., he had lived in Cleveland Heights before moving to Lake County 19 years ago, living in Willowick.
Mr. Butcher was a high school teacher in Cleveland Heights from 1955 to 1981. He also worked as a painting contractor for more than 30 years.
He was the loving father of Art Butcher and Kreig (Jackie) Butcher; cherished grandfather of Allison and Nick Butcher; great-grandfather of Savannah; and brother of one surviving sister.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lottie (nee Cook); and two sisters.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, with a memorial service to follow at New Promise Church, 8671 Euclid Chardon Road, Kirtland, OH 44094. Pastor Dale Diggs will officiate. Burial will be private.
