Obituary for Dale O. Langbehn

Memorial Service for Dale O. Langbehn, 82, of Mentor-on-the-Lake, will be 4 p.m. Saturday
at the Mc Mahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St., (Route 615, n. of Route 2), Mentor.
Mr. Langbehn passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Heartland of Mentor.
Born July 10, 1932 in Austin, Minn., he had been a Lake County resident for 48 years living in
Mentor-on-the-Lake.
Dale was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Air Force, member of the American Legion and Lions Club, coach of the Mentor-on-the-Lake baseball league, and a former member of Advent Lutheran Church in Mentor. He enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles and loved Bluegrass Music.
He served as the Budget Director for the Lake County Commissioners. He was still a seated member of council, serving Mentor-on-the-Lake for over 40 years and was past Council President. He was a lifetime member of OPERS, on the Board of PERS Credit Union and Lake County Employees Credit Union, and Chairman of the Ohio State Lake County Cooperative Extension Board.
Dale was the beloved husband of 59 years to Joan F. (nee Beaver) Langbehn; loving father of
Karl P. (Kathy Wallace) Langbehn of Willoughby; brother of Paul (Renee) Langbehn; and uncle of nieces
and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gene and John Langbehn: and half-brother, Edward
Gustason.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman at a later date.
