Funeral Mass for Dolores A. (nee Chernis) Rupinski, 80, of Mentor, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor. Fr. Tim Plavac will officiate the Mass.
Mrs. Rupinski passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at her residence in Mentor.
Born April 2, 1934, in Cleveland, she had been a Lake County resident for 58 years, living in Willowick before moving to Mentor.
Dolores was a member of St. Bede the Venerable Church in Mentor, where she was a Eucharistic Minister. She was a former member of St. Mary Magdalene Church in Willowick.
She was the beloved wife of 61 years to Frank S. Rupinski; loving mother of Raymond J. Rupinski and Frances R. (John) Zehe; cherished grandmother of Anna Rupinski, Lydia Rupinski, Jason Zehe and Melissa Zehe; sister of Bernice Martin and Adele Shanta; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Alice (nee Samolis) Chernis; and siblings, Alice Jerman and Albert Chernis.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. Burial will be in Mentor Cemetery.
