Mike Coyne
|
 |
Mike Coyne was born
in Cleveland, attended St. Joseph High School and graduated from
John Carroll University in 1968. He became a funeral director, his
life-long goal, in 1969 and served his apprenticeship at
McMahon-Murphy Funeral Home. He then worked at Mulqueeny Brothers
Funeral Home in Painesville.
Mike came to work at McMahon Funeral Home in Willoughby when it was
owned and operated by Lawrence McMahon. Mike purchased the business
in 1976 and changed the name to McMahon-Coyne Funeral Home, with Mr.
McMahon's blessings. McMahon-Coyne Funeral Home is a family operated
business of which Mike is most proud.
Mike is known for his compassionate and gentle ways that enable him
to give unique support to the families he serves. Together with sons
Kevin and Seamus, McMahon-Coyne Funeral Homes will grow as the needs
of our families grow, planning to add a crematorium facility in the
near future. Mike and his family continue to pledge to earn the
trust and confidence of all families in our community.

Anthony Vitantonio |

Anthony Vitantonio
is a third generation funeral director, continuing the Vitantonio
family’s history of compassionate, professional care to grieving
families in their time of loss. His grandfather, Anthony Vitantonio
founded A. Vitantonio Funeral Home at 2097 Murray Hill Road in
Cleveland’s Little Italy district in 1924. Anthony’s father Nicholas
Vitantonio became a licensed funeral director in 1952 and worked
with his father until 1968 when the funeral home was relocated to
2110 Murray Hill Road. That location had been the home of the S.A.
Conti Funeral Home, which was started in 1907 and when purchased by
Nicholas, became the Conti-Vitantonio Funeral Home. A second funeral
home was opened in Mentor in 1980 on Center Street.
Following in his grandfather and father’s footsteps, Anthony joined
the business in 1992 and became a licensed funeral director in 1997.
In 2001, Anthony joined with Mike Coyne to form McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio
Funeral Homes.
Anthony is happily married with two children and is active in his home parish, Holy Rosary. He is very
involved year long in the planning of the Feast of the Assumption,
which takes place annually in mid-August in Little Italy.
