Obituary for Fred C Klingman Sr.

Fred C. Klingman Sr., 70, of Willoughby, passed away Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018, at University Hospitals of Cleveland.
Born Dec. 31, 1947, in Akron, he had lived most of his life in Lake County.
Mr. Klingman was a retired professional truck driver from All Lift Services Inc., in Willoughby and had worked part-time for the City of Willoughby as a firefighter for 23 years. He was also an avid NASCAR enthusiast.
He was the beloved husband of 33 years to Christine M. (nee Sivic) Klingman; loving father of Frederick C. Klingman Jr., Kimberly (Kevin) Hommes and Michele L. Schmitt; cherished grandfather of Kaitlyne Klingman, Ty Klingman, Kelly Klingman, Taylor Klingman, Kyle Hommes, Christopher G. (Tasha Marie) Thompson, Michael J. (Rebecca) Kacprzynski and Kyle N. Kacprzynski; and great-grandfather of Katryna, Kaleana and Kylie Thompson. He also leaves his “old English Sheepdog,” Ginger.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Budd and Elizabeth (nee Wassum) Klingman.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor, with a celebration of his life at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be private.
