Obituary for James C Devor

Funeral services for James C. Devor, 65, of Willoughby Hills, will be 3 p.m. Friday at Willoughby United Methodist Church, 15 Public Square, Willoughby. (Family and friends are asked to please meet at church.)
Mr. Devor passed away suddenly Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby.
Born Dec. 11, 1952, in Cleveland, he had been a Lake County resident for 45 years, living in Wickliffe for 33 years, before moving to Willoughby Hills six months ago.
James attended West Geauga High School and Hocking College and was a member of the MG Club (British Car Club), and the Breakfast In The Park Club. He was an avid outdoorsman and naturalist.
Mr. Devor had worked at Bescast for 27 years, and Chardon Metal Products for 13 years.
He was the beloved husband of 35 years to Cheryl L. (nee Cornacchione) Devor; loving father of Douglas James (Carolyn) Devor, Devin Patrick (Emily) Devor, Katelyn Rae Devor (fiancé, Bill Snyder); cherished grandfather of Bill, Jacob, Payton and a little-one-on-the-way; brother of Bill Devor and Nancy (Chuck) Garrett; and uncle of Andy, Cody, Dylan, Tyler and Arianna.
James was preceded in death by his daughter, Amber Marie Devor; parents, William and Jean (nee Stuckert) Devor.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be private.
