Obituary for Michael Patrick Horgan

Funeral services for Michael Patrick Horgan, 70, of Eastlake, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel Lutheran Church, 32410 Willowick Dr., Willowick.
Mr. Horgan passed away Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017, at his residence.
Born May 14, 1947, in Cleveland, he had lived in Euclid before moving to Lake County 19 years ago.
Michael was a longtime employee of Gould/Westinghouse, where he met several lifelong friends.
He was proud of his Irish heritage and was a past member of Irish American East Side, Inc. and an avid fan of Notre Dame Football and enjoyed trips to their games with friends, his son, Mike and his “favorite” son-in-law, Williard. He was also a dedicated fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians. Michael and his daughter, Lisa enjoyed watching sports together and celebrated the CAVS championship together.
He was extremely proud of all of his grandchildren, Patrick, Stephanie, Brandon, Michael and Gracie, and was lovingly known as “FIL” to his “favorite” daughter-in-law, Lisa. Michael was an amazing husband and father. His love for his wife, Linda was never ending. He missed her terribly these past six years. He was a good man. A man of faith and was a dedicated parishioner of Bethel Lutheran Church. “He will be dearly missed and will live on in our hearts forever.”
Michael was the loving father of Lisa A. of Eastlake and Michael R. (Lisa M.) of Brecksville; cherished grandfather of Patrick (Jackie) Horgan, Brandon (Danielle) Walters, Stephanie Walters, Michael Ulanski and Gracie Horgan; great-grandfather of Christos Horgan and Tristan Horgan; father-in-law of Williard Walters; brother-in-law of Bob (Cheryl) Fedor, Vince (Jenice) Borgione, and David (Kathy) Borgione; and uncle of Michelle Rae (Tom), Linda Harley (Mike), Wanda Johnson (Curtis), Brad Borgione and Brian Borgione. He was also loved by his loyal dog, Angel, who laid by his side always.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 45 years, Linda (nee Fedor); loving daughter, Dawn Walters, who he missed deeply; parents, Norbert and Ann; brother, Norbert; and brother-in-law, Danny Borgione.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in Willoughby Memorial Gardens.
