Funeral Mass for M. Marguerite (nee Rumplik) Labbiente, 94, of Mentor-on-the-Lake, will be 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor.
Mrs. Labbiente passed away Friday, May 5, 2017, at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township.
Born Nov. 29, 1922, in Cleveland, she had lived in Westlake and Cleveland Heights before moving to Lake County 13 years ago.
Marguerite was a member of St. John Vianney Church in Mentor and the Mentor Senior Center. She loved computer games, Scrabble and family poker.
She was the beloved wife of 68 years to Nazerino L. Labbiente; loving mother of James Robert (Jo-Nell) Labbiente, Nancy Louise (John) Reilly, Mary Marguerite Rastall and Linda Marie (Les) Lawrence; cherished grandmother of Jennifer, Robert, William, John Patrick, Brendan, Danielle, James, Michael, Thomas, Tiffany, Lindsey, Kelley, Leslie, Brittany, Courtney and Sydney; great-grandmother of 17; sister-in-law of Jean Rumplik, Marie Rumplik and Ann Kilcoyne; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
Marguerite was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Jean Labbiente; parents, Edward and Agnes (nee Donahue) Rumplik; siblings, Rev. Edward Rumplik, Charles Rumplik, John Rumplik and William Rumplik.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland.
